Double Vision

The Alias Men, #3

A fast-paced, action-packed spy story. Linc thinks his days as an agent for the top secret agency, Pandora, are over. He's spending his days studying and traveling with his family. When another agent is out of town, Linc gets called back into action. He is to find the “Dangerous Double”, a bowler hat which belonged to actor Charlie Chaplin. The hat has powers that will allow the criminal, Ethan, to complete his evil plan. When the other agent, Ben, comes back, and arrives on the scene, Linc not only has to work on solving the case, but has to try to resolve his issues with the junior detective.

While this is the third book in the series, I had not read the previous two. Despite that, I was easily able to follow the plot in this story. It was fun and well-written. The main characters were really likeable and there is a host of enjoyable side characters. The mystery made sense and was filled with action. I read this with my nine-year-old son, and he loved it also. He enjoyed it so much that we went back and got the first two books in the series.

The age range for this book is 3rd through 7th grade, and that seems appropriate to me from reading this. If you are already a fan of this series, then this is another good installment. If you are looking for a new series for your child I, highly recommend this. You will not be disappointed.

Book Blurb for Double Vision

In the third book of F. T. Bradley's spy adventure series that ALA Booklist calls "hilarious" and "authentic," troublemaker Linc Baker must infiltrate the set of a Hollywood blockbuster in order to stop a terrorist's plan for worldwide destruction.

After his last mission, Linc thought his undercover junior agent days were behind him, and tons of boring studying lay ahead of him. But when super-secret government agency Pandora wants your help, you don't exactly have a choice. Sinister criminal Ethan Melais is on the loose in Tinseltown, and it's up to Linc to find him.

While he's on the job, Linc is snagged by a famous director to star in a movie. Add "trying to impress the cute Hollywood starlet Savannah Stone" to Linc's to-do list and this mission has suddenly become more complicated. As always, Linc's look-alike agent nemesis, Ben Green, is hot on Linc's heels, and time is running out. Can Linc nab the felon, charm Savannah, and beat Ben at his own game?

Age Range: 8 - 12 years / Grade Level: 3 - 7
