The Tycoon's Socialite Bride

Marcus Pearson has wanted to buy the Holcombe Hotel for a very long time. However, with his breeding, he has no chance of getting close to sealing the deal. Among old money and blue bloods his millions mean very little. Pamela Harrington is a blue blood but her life isn't all it should be. She has a lot of responsibilities and a father who doesn't trust her to make good decisions. On top of that, time is running out. The lease for the woman’s shelter is up and she doesn't know what to do. Out of options, she approaches the owner of the building—Marcus. She doesn't care how she has to do it, but she will keep the shelter open. Marcus proposes a marriage of convenience so that he can get the Holcombe and she can have the shelter. She is stunned but she is also out of options. Will their marriage be cold or will they be unable to hide from their feelings?

This was a good read. I liked Pamela. At times I wish she would say a little more…but then I remembered who she was (high society, eyes always on her) and it makes complete sense. Marcus at times was a little harder to like. Nonetheless, it was a nice story. Marcus and Pamela both were not expecting the love they found. This was good writing and a nicely flowing romance that most will enjoy.
