This was a short but cute story. Nabirye has been a secret admirer and she is hopping it is the man she is crushing on. But when someone she doesn’t expect shows up she is floored. He doesn’t look anything like he normally does. Maybe she misjudged him…and boy oh boy when did he become so handsome? But she is still reserved with her feelings.
She soon finds that she may really like her secret admirer and that his feelings for her are not creepy or shallow. I thoroughly enjoyed the short story and would recommend it for an easy read.
Nabirye, a Ugandan orphan, has worked hard to be accepted in America. When she begins receiving gifts from a secret admirer, she hopes they are from a certain sexy, dark-skinned co-worker.
T Deaux, a blond-haired and blue-eyed Cajun transplant, has fallen hard for Nabirye. When he reveals his identity and his feelings for her, Nabirye, unwilling to go against societal norms, dismisses him because he is white. But what happens when she discovers T Deaux is the man of her dreams?
