Kate and Mannix O'Brien of Limerick, Ireland have a lot of the regular issues like most families have. They have the financial as well as the stress of a son that is constantly being picked on at school by some bullies. Izzy, their daughter is upset about mom and dad not dealing effectively with Ferg's issues. Izzie takes on the responsibility of her little brother. It’s hard for an eleven-year-old little girl. She's not being allowed to be a little girl. She has too much responsibility. Kate thinks house swapping for a vacation might solve some of their problems. Can this be done on minimal finances?

Hazel and Oscar Harvey reside in Manhattan, New York and live in a beautiful apartment. They, too, have two children. Appearances are deceiving. They seem like the perfect family, but they have real problems too.

The two couples and their children decide to swap homes for a vacation and maybe getting away will help solve some of the problems. This was especially nice for Hazel. She grew up in Ireland and is anxious to show her family the sites. It didn't take long before both families discover some hidden secrets that the other family was trying to keep hidden.

The author gives the reader a story that has believable characters and allows you to form your own opinion as you turn each page. As you read each page, you discover that the author is leading you in a different path. This is a psychological thriller that is sure to get your mind to working as to what is going on. Hidden secrets are hard to keep hidden for long. Eventually, they surface and usually cause a lot of problems.

The author gave the reader characters that were believable as if they were your friends or neighbors. Be prepared for a lot tangled web situations and surprises. Great Book.
