"Little Women" is such a classic. If you like modern day versions of the old unforgettable classics then perhaps you will enjoy “The Spring Girls”. You have the loved March sisters in a modern day setting. This gives the reader a chance to take the Spring Girls and re-live the Little Women in a different time. I don't really care for retellings of the classics since you can't ever change the time bearing stories of time. But this story, setting aside the classic of “Little Women”, is a good story with that kick. Its a little romance and a whole lot of events taking place. If you have never read the classic, “Little Women” then this would be a good book to read. If you have read “Little Women” and loved it, then remember to take this book as it is. It’s a re-telling in modern times. The author doesn't leave you without a moment of wondering what will appear on the next page. Taken as it is, this is a good read. I just don't want to think of it as a re-telling of the famous classic, “Little Women”. But it was hard not too.
