Fairyproof is a fantasy that is sure to let your mind go in dream mode. It's full of humans and fairies. Kieran is the protector of his sister, Monique. Monique can control any human. She's a fairy, with all the attributes that come with it. Daniel Elliot is a human who has something special about him that he may not overcome. He protects their kind, safe from the dangers of the human world. Danger lurks everywhere among the humans since the fairy murders.
There are many characters in this story, perhaps too many to keep up with. I enjoyed the story and it was full of different emotions. You never knew what the next page would bring. Sometimes I wanted to stay in that fantasy dream mode; it's a great place to be.
--There has been a rash of murdered fairies. Kieran is afraid his sister Monique will be next since she took refuge in the human world. Kieran has been planning her future with a fairy she would much rather stay away from. Daniel, the one she's avoiding, just lost his fiancée when she took the Eliot family heirloom. That heirloom was the engagement ring. His mother wants the ring back and won't leave Daniel alone about it.
Daniel is Fairyproof, but will it be too much to deny the attraction to Monique?
When Monique finds out her brother, Kieran, is planning her future with the one fairy she wants nothing to do with, she seeks refuge in the human world. Now Kieran fears she will be the next victim in a string of murdered fairies and is determined to bring her home.
Hiding should be a breeze. She can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.
A year ago, Daniel's fiancée disappeared with the engagement ring, an Elliot family heirloom. He's ready to move forward with his life, but his mother's obsession with retrieving the ring makes that impossible. Then Monique walks into his office to apply for a job.
Daniel and Monique can't deny their attraction, but will the reason he's Fairyproof be too much to overcome?
