Killer in the Kitchen

Murder, She Wrote

I was always a fan of the television show “Murder She Wrote”. I never missed it, and loved Angela Lansbury in the title role. “Killer in the Kitchen” by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain is one of forty-two books in the Murder She Wrote series based on the television series. Of course Donald Bain is the author of these books and Jessica Fletcher is just carrying on as the main character in the books.

I enjoyed this book because I readily attached a face to each character in the story from watching the series. This made the book seem like an old friend. It was like reading the script from an episode of the series. The plot began quickly and predictably and suspects for the inevitable murder abounded. I thought I had it figured out early on, but of course Jessica unveiled the culprit at the very end of the book. I had to keep reading to find out what happened in the end.
