The Marriage Pact

I really enjoyed Tripp and Hadleigh’s story. It was a full length novel, but a VERY fast read. I think my only problem with the novel was how quickly Tripp’s attitude went from “let’s talk” to “I love you and want to spend my life with you.” The characters were well developed. The friendship between Hadleigh, Bex and Melody is very strong, supportive and real. Bliss County is a destination that I would like to add to my vacation list!

Ten years ago, Tripp Galloway saved eighteen year old Hadleigh Stevens from making a major youthful mistake and then walked away. Hadleigh has recovered from the near miss, but still hasn’t completely put away her childhood crush on Tripp. Now divorced, Tripp is moving back home to be closer to his aging father and help save the ailing family ranch. He’s never been able to forget Hadleigh – as his best friend’s little sister. Now he’s having a hard time reconciling her to the now beautiful woman she’s grown into.

Hadleigh has always had feelings for Tripp - first as her older brother’s best friend and then as her teenage crush. Tripp saw Hadleigh as his pseudo sister who had potential to be beautiful “when she grew up” and has always treated her as such. I think the reality of Hadleigh being all grown up was a big shock to Tripp! It was nice to see how childhood affections matured.
