I love that Bella Andre can take two characters who are nowhere near perfect and find a way to make their overall relationship work perfectly. There is always a great amount of depth to her characters, so much so that they seem like people you'd love to hang out and/or fall in love with. This is such a sweet story of two realistic characters, both with emotional traumas in their respective pasts that are slowly healed by each other.
After a tragic loss, Grayson Tyler left his life in New York City behind and relocated to the California coast. He has closed himself off from any emotional ties and solely dedicated himself to his farm. He thinks he's happy...until a certain soft hearted, sassy "Naughty" Lori Sullivan arrives answering his ad for a farm hand. After emotional devastation in Chicago, Lori Sullivan arrives to her home state of California. Instead of running home to her family, she randomly chooses a town in which to hide away. She lands a job as a farm hand on Grayson's farm and it's a learning experience for both of them!
Lori has been ironically nicknamed "Naughty" by her family. She is very sweet, surprisingly trusting and very softhearted. Grayson is attempting to live an emotionless and solitary existence on his farm, but those ideas are thrown out the window when Lori arrives claiming that she can be the best farmhand he's ever had. From the first moment, Grayson doesn't stand a chance. Lori's easy charm and vivacity for life slowly wins him over and Grayson learns (slowly) to forgive himself and begins to show Lori the meaning of true love.
Can you find forever…a second time?
After a tragic loss three years ago, Grayson Tyler leaves his life in New York City behind and starts over in the rolling hills of the California coast. He's convinced himself that all he'll ever need again is the blue sky, a thousand acres of pasture and the crashing waves of the ocean.
That is, until the day Lori Sullivan barges into his life and promptly blows his emotionless and solitary world to shreds. Her passion and fire drive him crazy, as only a woman nicknamed Naughty can. But will Lori be able to convince him that it's safe to love her…and that forever isn't actually out of reach?
