Wraith Kings Book 1

The Wraith Kings is a riveting good series. In this first novel the author does a fantastic job delivering a fantasy / paranormal tale that is just amazing and beautiful. “Radiance” is a very unique and wonderful love story. The world between the pages of this book is magical and well described. It can be compared to “Beauty & the Beast”. It’s that kind of story. You have an arranged marriage and in the end one awesomely entertaining fairytale. I had a very hard time putting this down. I encourage paranormal romance readers to pick this book up and get pulled into a brand new series. I guarantee you have never read anything like this.

Author Grace Draven knows how to give her readers delicious stories that are full of exquisite descriptions and lots of magic.

***Lets go a bit deeper into the tale***

An arranged marriage and an alliance between two kingdoms.

You have two very different races whose outward appearance is quite hideous to each other. But love blooms.

I loved how this author presented scenes showing their physical and cultural differences. I must say I enjoyed the two main characters of Brishen and Ildiko. They had wonderful bantering. Some of it was so very funny that it had me laughing out loud!

"You find me ugly, don't you?"

"Hideous. A hag of a woman. And you? You don't think me a handsome man?"

"Had you crawled out from under my bed when I was a child, I would have bludgeoned you to death with my father's mace."

*falls over laughing*

And also so lovingly....

“Woman of the day,” he said slowly. ” You mean everything to me.”

“Oh Breshin.”

Pick up this book if you are looking for a wonderful, phenomenal and unique fantasy romance. You have magic and quarreling kingdoms. Plus there is a little bit of a cliffhanger that will take the reader into the next book. Once you finish “Radiance” you will want to jump right into book two, “Eidolon”. I definitely recommend "Radiance"!
