Looking for LA LA by Ellie Campbell is a good chick lit romantic read. It took me a moment to understand the 'British Humor' but soon it came together for me and I found myself laughing out loud.
Who would have thought that a postcard would present such a problem for Cathy and her husband Declan? This is one novel that is a well written read with some very 'serious parts.' There seems to be lots of secrets. When I thought I may have had it figured out...I didn't! The characters are well developed and very captivating...they will keep you reading to see what is going to happen next.
Cathy is a stay at home mom and she is definitely funny. She has so many issues and lord can she make up things. Wow Cathy's friends were very interesting. What I found most interesting was the mystery and the surprise at the end. Be ready for quite a juggle of things that will happen. If you are looking for a good entertainment novel you have come to the right place for "Looking for LA LA" will give it to you.
Do I recommend? YES!
Bored stay at home mother, Cathy, finds her predictable routine upturned as she investigates a lipstick-covered love postcard sent to husband, Declan. Who is this mysterious La La? Could Declan really be having an affair? And - wait - is Cathy actually being stalked?
With all her friends hiding secrets, a sexy admirer igniting long-forgotten sparks, and the stress of organizing the school's Save The Toilets dance, soon it's not only Cathy's marriage that's in jeopardy. Add in the scheming antics of Declan's new assistant and a possible murderer on the scene and the stage is set for a dangerous showdown and some very unsettling, even deadly, revelations.
