When He Was Bad

Miss Congeniality by Shelly Laurenston

Score: 4 / 5

This story is a page-turner that I kept me up till morning reading it. It tells the story of werewolf Niles and human Dr. Irene, physicist. Niles has noticed how hot Irene is for years but to everyone else she is weird and has a cold personality. Most people think Doc, Niles call her this, is weird because her eyes are a cold, pale blue and a child prodigy with several degrees to her name who scares people away from her. However, she has a secret that puts her life in jeopardy. During this event Niles makes his move on Irene, he marks her. Can Niles save her?

Special Notes: Characters are fully developed.

Wicked Ways by Cynthia Eden

Score: 4 / 5

Miranda was on date from hell with a guy named Paul who she met on the Internet. Paul took her home and the date got worse because Paul turned out to be a vampire who started to drink her blood so she started screaming. Along comes her rescuer Cain Lawson, a shifter in human form, who kicks the vampire but the police come and Paul the vampire escapes punishment. Can they catch Paul before he lures in another woman and can Cain claim Miranda for his mate?

This is another page-turner in this anthology. It keeps you reading to find out what will happen to Miranda and Cain. The sex is hot in this book if you like reading about were animals and their mates.

Special Notes: This is a rare anthology-both stories are great!

Book Blurb for When He Was Bad

Blurb told from the POV of Cain Lawson, the hero of Wicked Ways…

I’m too dangerous for her. I know it, but I can’t get my sexy new neighbor out of my head. When I hear her scream one night, the absolute last thing I expect to see is Miranda Shaw–star of my hottest fantasies–being attacked by a vampire. Now the undead jerk is after her, and I’m the only thing standing between the beautiful lady and a killer who just won’t stop. Well, too bad for him, because that vamp has just made the worst mistake of his afterlife–he’s tangled with a shifter. And Miranda, well, she’s so busy watching out for him that she won’t see me closing in on her–not until it’s too late–and I’m about to show her just how wild I can get…
