First some information on this book; this is officially the third tale in the “Weaving Mystery” series; however, it’s the first book I have read in the storyline that follows a female character named Della who owns and operates a weaving store in a small fictional town in North Carolina.
Second, the author grabbed my attention with the first chapter in this book by how she created her background world. I could actually see myself visiting the weaving store and wanting to ask Della some questions about the craft of weaving. I’ve never heard of it before. I could see myself asking her how you go about doing it.
Third, I think there were some inside jokes in the storyline, but they did not cause me any confusion. They fit naturally into the tale.
Finally, I noticed there were no grammatical or other errors in this story that tear the reader’s attention from the story. It also has a few interesting twists and turns going on in the story that keep you reading into the night.
At the beginning of this story Della is throwing an engagement party for her friend Marnie and her fiancé Bruce. Della and Marnie’s other friends have never met Bruce before the party so they are wondering to each other why Marnie has never introduced Bruce to them before the party. While the party is going on, Della noticed one of her students having an argument with Bruce and a few minutes later another one of Marnie’s friends seems to be flirting with him at the engagement party! What is going on here?
This is a true “Stand Alone”; all the questions were answered.
It’s a joyous time at Dream Weaver?Della Wright’s studio in small-town Briar Hollow, North Carolina?as part-time employee and full-time friend Marnie Potter is preparing for her upcoming marriage.
