Lethal Letters is the sixth book in the established Bay Mystery series. It took awhile for me to get into this story because I have never read any of the books in this series before reading Lethal Letters. However, it was also hard to get into it due to the story itself because it had a lot of characters that are introduced right away, including Olivia, the heroine of the story. Once I figured out who everyone was and their place in the storyline, I became hooked on them, the main mystery, and the side mystery that lasted almost to the end of the book. I also liked the background world of this story, which is a small fishing village on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean called Oyster Bay, North Carolina. The pacing of this story flew from beginning to end with no hiccups in it, like grammar errors, which could have slowed down my reading. The characters themselves had regular human flaws that made them very lifelike without putting them on a pedestal. The characters were not perfect, but that worked for the story.
