Not Your Ordinary Faerie Tale

An Others Novel

I adore Christine Warren's the Other series. I do have a bit of a problem with how it is set up; what I mean by that is that the chronological order of the books is extremely confusing. Not Your Ordinary Faerie Tale is listed as the twelfth book on sites such as Goodreads and Amazon. I would like it to be known that this isn't the twelfth book in the series it is actually a reprinting of the fifth book. The book was originally released in e-book format under the title Fighting Faer which was known to be part of the Fixed series which would become known as the Others series. Many of Christine Warren's first books in the series are now being re-realeased in paperback format. I think something this series needs desperately is a list in the books of what order to read the books. The only way you can find out the order of the books is by going online and looking it up. It makes it very hard to bring in new readers, because they don't know where to start.

Anyway like I said this is the fifth book in the series. I do believe it's necessary to read the other four books first. A lot of characters from the previous books make appearance and a lot of development for the characters takes place in the other books. I do like the book, but it's not one of my favorite in the series. For me there is just too much sex. When about half of the book is spent with your hero and heroine sexing each other up that's a little too much for my taste. Still I don't hold that against the book for the most part considering the original publishing company was Ellora's Cave which is known for their erotic stories. Plus later on in the series the books get less sex filled so I do believe this was Christine Warren catering to the audience and the publisher. Other than the overdose of sex the rest of the book was extremely well written. It had a strong hero and heroine, and they had great chemistry. The plot was very interesting.

As I said before this isn't my favorite in the series but it's still a really good book. I can't wait for more work from Christine Warren. I recommend her books to those that erotic and the others series.
