No Rest for the Dead

This has to be one of the most unique books I've ever read. The book is a 26 chapter book, and each chapter is written by a different author. Now one would think that each chapter is a different story which would usually be the case, but with this book it's a continuous story. At most I've seen I believe three or four writers working on the same story. It was a tough thing to accomplish, and when I read the description I had my doubts but the writers pulled it off. It's now clear why the 26 authors are best sellers. The mystery of this book is difficult to figure out and the ending is quite the surprise. It's amazing that they managed to pull this off. The characters are interesting and even though several different writers are writing them they keep their voice through out.

A man is found in an iron maiden at a museum. His wife is charged, convicted, and put to death for the crime. Years later the lead detective on the case begins to think they sentenced the wrong person. With the help of the wife's friend the detective sets out to find the killer.
