Marisa Chenery has done it again. I absolutely love her shape shifter novellas. She manages to get the complete story in without the reader feeling like something is missing. I absolutely loved reading this book, especially since it takes place in my neck of the woods.
Gage has been mate branded due to his brother finding his mate. He has two weeks to find his mate, otherwise he will lose his humanity, and remain in wolf form until the end of his life.
He is bringing pelts that he had trapped over the winter to Great Falls to sell them. While there he finds out that his buyer’s sister is dying of cancer. Thinking that he could help he goes to her hospital room only to find out that she is his mate. He bites her, hoping that the power of the mating brand will cure her cancer and allow her to have a full and happy life with him.
Jamie is facing the fact that she is dying and that she will be unable to raise her son. Gage comes into her life and performs a miracle. She is his mate and through the mating brand, she is cured. Can both Jamie and Gage finally find the happiness and love they both crave?
This was a short little novella, but Marisa has managed to once again tell a complete story in a small amount of time. If you find yourself craving a quick read, pick this book up. Believe me you won't be disappointed.
Gage had gone to Great Falls, Montana, to sell his family’s pelts after a winter of trapping. Mostly to keep his mind off the fact he’d been mate branded and his time had just about run out to find his one and only. Losing his humanity wasn’t something he wanted to face. But the trip turns into something much more when he finds the one woman meant to be his dying of cancer with only days to live.
Jaimie was at death’s door. She vaguely remembers a visit from a strange man at her hospital bed who bites her and then tells her she’s his. She’s then tumbled into a world where wolves can shift to human form, and where one will do anything to save her.
