The Reckoning

The Taker Trilogy, #2

The reader is once again taken on a breathtaking journey in the lives of Lanny, Luke, Adair, and Jonathon. The second installment of the trilogy picks up right where The Taker leaves off. I found myself once again immersed in the many twists and turns of this story. Never knowing what will happen next, and anxiously waiting for the other shoe to drop. If readers liked the first book of this trilogy they will not be disappointed in the next one. I love when I can get totally wrapped up in a story where the characters become real.

Lanny thought that she was finally free of Adair, or so she thinks. She finds herself back in London awaiting the opening of the Victoria and Albert Museums new collection. It is the collection of her life for all the world to see. Unfortunately, not all interest is benign, her collection has once again brought Adair back into her life. Will Lanny ever be able to overcome Adair's influence to have even a slim chance at a normal life? Well as normal as can be for someone who is immortal, or must Lanny keep paying for past mistakes?
