I can definitely say that Angela Knight does not disappoint. I have read all of her books at least three times, and they get better with every reading. This book follows along the same lines. I can read it over and over and still get enjoyment out of it.
This installment of the Mageverse does not hold back anything. We meet Warlock, a werewolf who also happens to be a magic user, and is Direkinds version of King Arthur. Not a good combo when he is paranoid, powerful, and dead set on starting a war between Direkind and Avalon. We get reintroduced to Belle and Tristan as they try to find the answers to prevent an all-out war between Direkind and Arthur's Knights of the Round Table.
With some magical confusion, an innocent is killed. Belle and Tristan are asked to investigate by the Direkind's sheriff, William Justice. It soon becomes apparent that something is off. While Belle, Tristan, and William try to find the answers to prevent an all-out war, they have to battle opposition from Direkind seeking justice for an innocent's death, half of which have been corrupted by Warlock.
Like I said Angela doesn't hold anything back. Anyone who is a Mageverse fan is going to love this new addition.
Court seducer La Belle Coeur has met her match in Tristan, a Knight of the Round Table unafraid of blood-or lust. Joining together to combat a werewolf wizard and sworn enemy of Arthur, they must put their lives on the line-while coming to grips with the rising heat between them.
