A Little Light Magic
A Jersey Shore Romance
Nick Santangelo is a single father and owner of a construction/renovation company. He became a father at the tender age of 18 and it completely changed his life and his plans for his life. He “did the right thing” and married the mother of his child. He became the owner of the construction company at the tender age of 20, when his father passed away. Along with the construction company he inherited being the sole bread winner and father figure for his 3 younger brothers. That’s a lot of responsibility for such a young man, but Nick did the best he could and kept the family afloat. He’s now 35 and things are running pretty smoothly in his life. Until fate steps in.
Victoria “Tori” Morgan has been a little alone most of her life. She is an only child. Her mother was in and out of bad relationships most of her life and passed away when Tori was only 11. Tori then went to live with her great-aunt Millie who ended up in a nursing home just 2 years later. Now 17 years later Tori is back at her great-aunt’s house, having inherited it when Aunt Millie passed away. Tori is planning to turn it into a metaphysical shop but needs a contractor to bring it up to code. Nick is her last chance. He initially turns her down for the job. But Tori has other plans and lights a special candle given to her in New Orleans.
Nick and Tori must both learn the true meaning of the word compromise in a relationship. They fall deeply in love with each other, but neither one wants to give a little to really make things work. Tori is all fired up on having a baby NOW and Nick isn’t ready to even contemplate another child yet. Both are scarred by their pasts and can’t seem to let go of them.
Ms. Nash has written a lovely story and addresses issues like teen pregnancy, parenting, responsibility that is thrust upon you before you’re ready, miscarriage and just plain life problems with taste, care, a little bit of tears and plenty of humor. The plot and characters where completely believable and true to life. You’ll be rooting for Nick and Tori to find their balance and compromise. And you’ll be cheering when they finally get their happily ever after.
Book Blurb for A Little Light Magic
When a girl with no family meets a guy with too much.
For Tori Morgan, family's a blessing the universe hasn't sent her way. Her parents are long gone, her chance of having a baby is slipping away, and the only thing she can call her own is a neglected old house. What she wants more than anything is a place where she belongs, and a big, noisy clan to share her life.
For Nick Santangelo, family's more like a curse. His nonna is a closet kleptomaniac, his mom's a menopausal time bomb and his motherless daughter is headed for serious boy trouble. The last thing Nick needs is another female making demands on his time.
But summer on the Jersey shore can be an enchanted season, when life's hurts are soothed by the ebb and flow of the tides and love can bring together the most unlikely prospects. A hard-headed contractor and a lonely reader of Tarot cards and crystal prisms? All it takes is A Little Light Magic.
