Revelation

Seven Signs, #1

Dr. Morgan Sterling is determined to prove that the zombie plague over running Manhattan is not a sign of the end of the world. There has to be a logical explanation that doesn’t involve anything religious. Even when Luniel, a tainted fallen angel appears, he can’t manage to convince her. Now on the search for the original infected patient, Luniel and Morgan will have to fight both demons and their growing attraction for one another.

I had very high hopes for Revelation. It should have had everything an urban fantasy addict could require…demons, zombies, angels, a parallel world, etc. Unfortunately, I felt like I was being drug thru this book. It moved extremely slowly for me and I couldn’t form a connection with the main characters. Morgan turned me off completely: she was abrasive, too stubborn for such a long time that by the end I felt like any turn around on her part was forced. I did really like Luniel to a certain point. He was sexy and brave. I just couldn’t see a true happily ever after connection between him and Morgan. The plot line was good. I enjoyed the danger and the search for a cure. The demons were exciting and the introduction of some other angels was intriguing. There was just too much that couldn’t keep my interest that made me under appreciate Revelation. I’m hoping it’s just the fact that it’s a first in a new series. I definitely will give the next book a try.

Book Blurb for Revelation

A fallen angel with a mission and a medical examiner who's lost her faith are fighting for their souls in a glittering, near-future Manhattan...

Blind faith is for fools. That's what Dr. Morgan Sterling believes. And she's going to prove it by curing the zombie plague ravaging her city's slums. She's certain it's not a sign of the End of Days, but a nasty disease—until an angel appears in her morgue in a flash of glory.

Luniel is not just a fallen angel. He's a powerful warrior sworn to fight evil in hopes of a chance at redemption. He's after the demon princes who are stealing the seven vials of holy wrath which, when perverted, will unleash eternal hell on earth. To stop the plague, Luniel needs Morgan's help, and her faith. But Morgan believes science is their salvation. If the zombie plague is a demonic curse—and if Luniel is true—he’ll have to prove it. Even if he loses his heart to true love or his soul to Hell...
