Relight My Fire is a sweet and wonderful read. It’s a tender love story that slowly but surely wraps its warmth around you and does not let you go until the last word. Candy and Jeff’s story is the classic story of teenage lovers torn apart by a thoughtless and vindictive lie. This is an old storyline that’s been done many times before, but I think the setting (NYC in the 70s) along with the smart dialogue made it new and more enjoyable to read. The sizzle from the chemistry between the two main characters was fun to read.
Relight My Fire is a wonderful story that I will happily recommend to everyone.
It's September 1979 and the last person Candi Knight expects to see walk into her Manhattan discotheque is Jeff Summers, retired NFL quarterback, and the man who broke her heart years earlier. The passion between them still burns bright but she vows never to forgive him, still angry over what happened, and afraid he will discover the real reason she fled their home town.
Jeff has no idea why Candi walked out of his life without saying goodbye all those years ago but now that he has found her, in the last place on earth he would have thought of to look for her, he has no intention of letting her go.
In the heady atmosphere of throbbing disco beats and sexual liberation, Jeff and Candi find it hard to rekindle the love they once shared when dark secrets from their past threaten to tear them apart.
