Obsession is an interesting blend of a revenge tale and a tragic romance that turns into a remarkably effective short story written by Paige Bennett. This is story is only twenty pages long so you are not given much time to get to know the characters, but the story is still so well- structured that it does not really become and issue from enjoying the read. The overall theme of obsession is effectively showcased between Blanche and Lucien. I really liked the dynamic between these two: predator vs prey. By the time you finish the story you will know who fits either title. The only complaint is that it is not long enough which is not really a complaint at all. Some stories are only written to be enjoyed in one bite, this is one of them. I loved it and hope to read more by this author in the future.
