I loved loved loved this book! Brenda Joyce has penned a passionate story blending New York society with the old west. This is not a story for the faint of heart, it's full of strong gut wrenching emotions. I loved Lucy from the start, she was a bit spoiled and hot tempered, but her tendency to find herself in trouble was very endearing to me. Shoz was a very Alpha male, at first he was a little hard to swallow, a bit too alpha, but soon I was panting for more of him.
I read THE FIRES OF PARADISE in on day, I just couldn't put it down. It was an emotionally complex story that held my attention and kept my eyes glued to the pages. Thought the ending was great, I was sad to be finished, I want to read more about this family that I have come to love.
