Abby Kane grew up as a tomboy with an interest in law enforcement. With that realization she entered Police College. Her husband is murder and she is left with her with two young children. Abby then begins to absorb herself with work and neglects her children. The children begin to become more close to their grandmother. Trying to start a new life with her family Abby decides to move everyone to San Francisco for a new beginning. She joins the FBI investigating white-collar crime after years of doing detective work. She and her detective partner Trey Wilkinson (after time both of them become fond of each other) are assigned FBI assignments one of which is to investigate a series of murders targeting executives in the Detroit auto industry. These groups of executives belong to a corporate group known as the Redline Rogues. They are responsible for the downfall of a GM plants in Flint, Detroit. Abby and her partner are assigned to work with the Detroit police in Corktown. The police are non-cooperative in assisting to solve the serial murders.
