UF & PNR February 2014
Love is in the air…
Or it could just be cabin fever from all these winter months of being cooped up. This has been a terrible winter, freezing temperatures, so much snow, even areas that normally don’t get hit with ‘winter” has been hit pretty bad.
The only good thing… the best remedy for being snowed in is a good book.
My must haves are The Undead Pool (Hollows) by Kim Harrison and Wild Things (Chicagoland Vampires) by Chloe Neill (which I am currently reading- it’s fabulous).
Book 20 in the Argeneau Vampire series was released this month and is currently touring with Bewitching Book Tours-Vampire Most Wanted by Lynsay Sands
Other great additions to popular series this month include: Circle of Death (A Damask Circle: Book 2) by Keri Arthur, Killer Frost (Mythos Academy) by Jennifer Estep, and Silence of the Wolf (Heart of the Wolf) by Terry Spear.
Love steampunk? Then Scarlet Devices (Steam and Seduction) by Delphine Dryden and The Clockwork Wolf (Disenchanted & Co.) by Lynn Viehl are the books for you this month.
The first in a new series: Only the Good Die Young: Jensen Murphy, Ghost For Hire by Chris Marie Green looks like a great new series to try, and Jenny Trout’s Such Sweet Sorrow – a new take on Romeo and Juliet (along with some other Shakespearean characters) looks like a must have.
So enjoy the cold while it lasts by grabbing a few new books and a cozy blanket. Spring will be here before you know it…and if you’re like me you’ll be so excited that you can be outside again reading time will dwindle down for a while. At least until the Siren’s call of your bookshelf lures you back in.
