Wheat Belly Cookbook - Inside the Cookbook - 4 Stars
Summer in in full force, but fall is right around the corner. No one wants that overfull belly feeling. This book can help with that.
Wheat Belly Cookbook, by William Davis, is one of the most comprehensive books about the wheat epidemic that I've read. It explains what has happened to wheat in America and how it is affecting our bodies. Good stuff. It is quite long and I wondered if the book contained any recipes for a while, but alas I found them in the back.
While the book is good quality and some of the recipes are amazing, calling this a 'cookbook' is somewhat misleading. The focus seems to be more on understanding why omitting wheat from your diet is good. I happen to believe they are right and enjoyed reading all of the facts and research behind why that is true, but again, not a cookbook in the traditional sense.
The addition of the testimonials from people who have lost weight using this book is awesome. This is a good resource for those wishing to change their eating habits.
