Life is a Circus … and Love’s in the Center Ring - The Romance Zone
When I was a little girl—and dayum, I know I’m dating myself here—we loved the circus. It came through our Eastern Montana town once a year. Walking into the bleachers over center field at our fairgrounds, which normally hosted rodeos and 4-H shows, led us into a new, exotic world. One where tanned, lithe people defied death on high wires, with huge elephants and lions, and rings of fire.
So, I was thrilled this month to discover a romance set in the world of a small European circus. And just as we kids would’ve loved to do, this Irish heroine runs away to join the circus.
Hearts of Fire by L.H. Cosway. Bk 2 of Hearts series. Contemporary.
The Circus Spektakulär is proud to present Jack McCabe: Fire-breather, knife-thrower, risk-taker.
My house burned down when I was just a boy, robbing me of both my parents. Now I breathe fire, eat the poison that almost killed me.
Crowds come to see me night after night. Men for the spectacle, women for the thrill. I’m stared at and desired. With each flame I spit, I risk my life. I wear scars on my body that will never go away, but the scars inside my head are far more difficult to overlook.
My brother Jay doesn’t know me, and if I have it my way he never will.
Life was going exactly the way I’d planned until Lille came along. She wanted to run away with the circus, have an adventure, but this world was never meant for her. I try to keep her safe, because she doesn’t know the dangers that are out here on the road. She doesn’t know the monsters that lurk behind the bright lights of the ring. In truth, I could be considered one of them.
I watch her. I try not to touch, even when her eyes invite me. Join us in the Spiegeltent and let us give you a show. Allow my Lille to draw a picture for you in paint and sweat and skin.
The truest love is always the hardest to let in.
**This is a standalone romance that tells the story of Jack McCabe, Jay Fields’ long lost, presumed dead brother. It is not necessary to have read Six of Hearts in order to enjoy Hearts of Fire.**
Then there’s an Irish heroine who will do anything to hide from the media circus that surrounds her past life … even seek sanctuary in a castle full of ex-cons.
In His Wildest Dreams by Marie Treanor
Every dream can come true…in unexpected ways.
The only time Glenn Brody acted on the waking dreams his mother called second sight, he landed in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Now he keeps himself grounded in the real world, turning a neglected Scottish mansion into a co-op that gives ex-cons a second chance.
He’s almost managed to ignore the persistent, erotically charged dreams featuring a beautiful, passionate woman—until that woman accosts him in the street to ask for a job.
In hiding from her violent ex, Izzy Ross has made a peaceful life for herself and her young son in the isolated Highland village of Ardknocken. Handsome men with a criminal record aren’t high on her list, but when work dries up, she’s forced to ask Glenn for a menial cleaning job at the big, dusty house.
Their mutual attraction turns all their preconceived notions upside down, and stirs the mansion’s legendary ghost. Attracting the kind of media attention that could force Glenn to make a perilous choice to save the woman he’s grown to love.
Warning: Contains a mansion full of unlikely heroes, liberal and colorful use of Scottish slang, a medieval ghost, and enough hot sex to spice up the chilliest Highland night.
Sometimes life is a circus when we don’t exactly intend for it to be. And we don’t even know we’re on stage. But it can all work out for the best. Here’s a debut romance set on the beautiful Oregon coast.

The New York Times bestselling duo of Crusie and Mayer team up again with a hilarious paranormal novel that shows why the wildest ride at the Dreamland Amusement Park isn't the roller coaster.
Mary Alice Brannigan doesn't believe in the supernatural. Plus, there's a guy she's falling hard for, and there's something about him that's not quite right.
But rocky romances and demented demons aren't the only problems in Dreamland: Mab's also coping with a crooked politician, a supernatural raven, a secret government agency, an inexperienced sorceress, an unsettling inheritance, and some mind-boggling revelations from her past. As her personal demons wreck her newfound relationship and real demons wreck the park, Mab faces down immortal evil and discovers what everybody who's ever been to an amusement park knows: The end of the ride is always the wildest.
