UF & PNR June 2014
Summer is finally here.
It’s time to catch up on my pile of must read books.
Oh, I’m sure I’ll add a few new books to the pile this summer but mostly I’ll be catching up on the stack that keeps growing yet barely gets read because I’ve been so busy.
The good news is that summer days are long, vacations are planned and books will be read. LOL
I have a summer reading spot I adore, a lovely swing that is a perfect for reading. I can be outside in the fresh air, with my family and able to enjoy a good book all at the same time.
I already used it this season. I read a book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. I started from the very beginning because it’s a series that I have wanted to read for a while. I am so hooked. I am now on book four. I kept reading in my swing until my husband lit the bonfire and it was simply too dark to read anymore.
That swing is going to be my official summer spot. If you can’t find me in my office…check the swing.
I’ll be whittling down that TBR pile.
Do you re-read any books during the summer because they are favorites? I have a few that I occasionally re-read (old classics) but mostly there are just too many new books that I want to read that I don’t have time to play favorites.
On the top of my must have list this month is: A Shiver of Light
by Laurell K. Hamilton
(finally- a new Merry Gentry book!) and Better Homes and Hauntings
by Molly Harper
