Please tell us your latest news!
My debut novel PACK OF LIES just released, and I couldn't be more excited! It is an intense erotic werewolf romance that I know readers will absolutely fall in love with! The sexy hero Marcus is the ULTIMATE rough, strong Alpha Male!
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Anne Rice is my favorite author, without question. I love the lushness of her writing. Everything she describes, whether it is a smoldering fire or a scrap of lace or a wicked gleam in a character's eye, feels sensual and luxurious.
Do you have a specific writing style?
My writing is a little darker than most erotic romance authors. I like novels with gothic themes. I like characters who are struggling with life and death. I like to see battles between good and evil. That is why I love to write paranormal erotica and paranormal romance. The heat and intensity of werewolves in particular really captures my imagination, and I feel compelled to write more about them.
Do you see writing as a career?
I definitely see writing as a permanent and very successful career. I published dozens of erotic short stories before writing my first novel, and I've had wonderful responses to absolutely everything I've submitted. In fact, my publisher Ravenous Romance has already contracted with me for a sequel to my debut novel Pack Of Lies! I am incredibly excited about the future, and am off to a running start!
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I've always been an avid reader. Always. The urge to write slowly grew in me from the moment I picked up that first book.
Do you have any advice for other writers?
Read! Find what you love to read, and you will find what you love to write.
How does your family feel about having a writer in the family? Do they read your books?
(laughs) Well, my family and friends all know about my writing. But everything I write is very sexually charged, so my family members don't read most of it. However, everyone is always very very supportive of my career and they encourage me every step of the way.
What is your writing process? Do you outline, fly by the seat of your pants or a combination of both?
I start with a very very basic outline (about 2-3 sentences summarizing each chapter), and from there, yes, I absolutely do fly by the seat of my pants. I let the story take me where it will.
Do you have a ritual when it comes to writing? Example..get coffee, blanket, paper, pen and a comfy place
My handwriting is bad; and I mean embarrasingly so. I always write at my computer, so I can't imagine actually curling up somewhere and putting pen to paper. At my keyboard with my diet coke and my big black Great Dane at my feet is how I always write.
Thank you. And happy reading!
