Current Release: Seal Of Surrender - Seven Seals Series: Book Two

Describe your current release in two sentences?

A reclusive immortal combat expert strikes a deal: permanent retirement on his beloved Montana ranch in exchange for destroying an ancient foe and protect the woman who holds the genetic key to an ancient Seal of the Apocalypse. When love complicates matters, will he choose duty or desire?

What have you had to give up to pursue your writing career?

I don't have much of a social life anymore and watch very little TV. Neither of these were much of a sacrifice. :D

What are you working on?

I'm editing the third book in the Seven Seals Series to get ready to ship off to the publisher and have the fourth book ready to write. I'm also working on a fun, contemporary romantic comedy and a new paranormal romantic suspense series, think Castle meets Buffy (without the vampires).

What is your ultimate writing goal?

To make my fans and readers happy and to be able to earn a living writing. As long as I'm writing everyday and continuing to improve, what more could I ask?

Do you have a comfort food? What is it?

Carbs of any kind and chocolate.

Where is your favorite place to write?

In my office, with my headphones on and a warm breeze blowing through the window.

What career fields have you worked in?

Let's see. I've been a cashier, a bank teller, a travel agent, a professional ballroom dancer and teacher, a hotel concierge, a college instructor, a certified medical assistant, and a risk management specialist. Jeez, that's quite a list, huh?

What are your summer plans? Any books you are looking forward to?

My plans are far from glamorous, I'm afraid. Just to keep writing and getting more work out there.

Books I'm looking forward to are the new historical releases from Jennifer Ashley and Sarah MacLean.

How was your road to publication?

Fast. Seal of Destiny was my first manuscript. Ever. I wrote the first draft in about a month, then spent the next six months getting it polished and edited and ready for submission. That started in July of 2012. I received three offers for it and signed with Crimson Romance in September of 2012. Three months is a millisecond in the publishing world.

If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?

I think I'd choose to be part of either Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld or Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark. All those men are so HOT and these two authors inspired me to write in the first place.

Thanks so much for having me on today and thanks to all my fans and readers out there. Keep an eye out for the third book in the Seven Seals Series this fall!
