Current Release: Wicked Temptations

Describe your current release in two sentences?

Kidnapped by angels, demon Boden is expecting the worst until he's offered a deal and meets the blond reaper who changes everything...

Do you have a favorite time of the day? If so when and why

My favorite time of day is now, and has always been night. I think becasue that's when the pace of life slows down, and your body really begins to relax.

I really come to life, and get my second wind when the sun goes down. As a writer it seems to be when I’m most productive. Normally I do outlining and notes during the day, while the actual writing takes place at night.

What is the one thing you do not want to live without?

If we’re talking inanimate objects, I’d say my smart phone. It has the music I love, and keeps me connected to everything.

Please describe your writing environment.

It's hectic, comfy and unpredictable. I promise that makes sense, lol. I have my own “writing space” in the house, but I’m a stay at home mom of a toddler; so I’m never quite sure how the day is going to go. I draw a lot of inspiration from the things that surround my desk: quotes that inspire me, writing tiles I’ve made at the ceramic shop, my favorite books. I also hang up reviews, and comments from fans, both good and bad. Those things really help me push through writers block, and help me become a better author.

What is your favorite TV show?

Without hesitation I have to say Supernatural. No one can make me laugh like the Winchesters, and the “monsters” they’re always facing down can be quite inspiring. Also : blushes: I’ll admit to a bit of a crush on Dean.

What are you working on?

Right now I’m working on the currently untitled sequel to my book, The Wanting. While the story of Phelan and Zasha will continue, the star of this book is Bastian. That’s right the yummy military leader is about to have his world turned upside down when his match, Riva, appears and the biological mating period kicks into high gear. Unlike his brother Phelan, his mate is from his past, and after walking away from her he’ll have a lot to answer for. Did I mention that Riva is his people’s Star Priestess? You know I had to bring the drama. ;).

What career fields have you worked in?

I’ve been in the entertainment industry behind the scenes as a sound and lighting engineer, in the office, and in the skies as a flight attendant. Each job gave me experiences I’ll never forget but the stewardess position was by far the most unpredictable. I could write those stories in a book and no one would believe they were real.

Where do you want to travel?

My top two places right now are England, and Ireland. I’ve never been out of the country other than a cruise that took me to Belize, and Mexico, and I’d really like to change that in the near future.

How do you mesh your personal and professional life?

Very carefully? In all seriousness I have a super supportive husband and staying at home allows me to really split my time evenly between professional and private. (Most of the time) I don’t mind my fans knowing some personal details about me. I’m pretty candid on my blog, and twitter, but I keep the photos to a minimum, and the Facebook private because I have a child.

How was your road to publication? Have you every had to deal with rejection letters?

I’d have to say my road to being published was relatively smooth. I was blessed to have my first submission by Evernight accepted, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve had a rejection letter before, but I didn’t let it deter me because it’s a part of the business.

What has been the best way for you to engage readers? Face to Face / Chatting Online / Twitter / Facebook / Blogging

So far my blog, and twitter have been the best way to communicate with fans, but I’m hoping for some face/face this year at the romance conventions.

I want to thank NOR for having me here, and you, the reader, for taking the time to learn more about me. I hope you enjoy the worlds I create, and the characters I bring to life, entertain, amuse and inspire. Please feel free to share your thoughts and drop me a line. I love feedback.
