Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?

I am a graduate of Trinity University with a B.S. in Business Administration, served in the Navy for four years, where I met and married a real life cowboy. I grew up in Irvine, California where I learned the fine art of body surfing and shopping. I don't make friends easily, but the friends I make, I tend to keep for life. In my other life, I am an Academic Coordinator for a medical school. I love music of all kinds, but I am currently obsessing over Amy Winehouse, Amy Larrieux, and Robin Thicke.

If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?

That is really hard to say. I really like all my characters. I hope they are each unique in their own way. I think I would have to say a combination of Katrina from Thierry's Angel (and her own book coming soon, the Taming of Katrina) and Regina (from Thierry's Angel and Remy Goes to Therapy).

What's your favorite genre to read?

I love all genres. I rally don't have a favorite. As long as a book is entertaining, I'll read it.

What do you do on a typical writing day?

If I'm at home I like to light some incense, maybe play some music or listen to news/talk shows (radio and t.v.) and write away. Away from home I put on my iPod.

Who or what influences you when you write?

Everything! I can be influenced by the nightly news. I can look at just about anything and let my imagination go wild.

When you have writer's blick how do you break free?

Music or watching the History Channel, Discovery or TLC.

Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

I am working on a number of things. I posted the first few chapters of Thierry's Angel on my blog and got a lot of requests for stories for some of the supporting characters, so I'm working on two of those. I am also working on a prequel of, My Cherie Amour, which will be coming out sometime in the future. You can read snippets on my website or blog.

Please tell us what you have planned next?

Well, as previously stated, I am working on two sequels to Thierry's Angel and one prequel to My Cherie Amour. I also have a couple of shorts in the work.

Who is your perfect hero? And why?

I LOVE the Alpha male types. Something about them just speaks to my inner cavewoman. I guess it's because as women, sometimes we have to have a public persona, which can be dramatically different from out private lives.

What do you do for inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere, but I think my husband inspires me the most.

What kind of research do you do for your books? Do you enjoy the research process?

I love research, because I am a huge nerd at heart. I love learning new things. Most research can be home on the Internet, but I use real life experience too. I have traveled a lot, so I use things I have picked up from all around the world.

Do deadlines help or hinder your muse?

As a newbie, I really haven't had that problem yet-knock on wood.

When did you first decide to submit your work? Please, tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.

I decided to submit this February. My husband has always been my biggest cheerleader and main support. He has been trying to get me to submit for years. I could kick myself about the books I have lost because I was afraid to take a chance.

Do you outline your books or just start writing?

No outline. I have tried, but when you are developing a character, they don't always do or go where you original planned. I do have soundtracks for each book. I choose songs that define each main character and try to put then in an order that would tell a story.

What was your first published work and when was it published?

My first manuscript is My Cherie Amour, and I have no idea when it will be coming out. Thierry's Angel, my second book will be released this November with Cacoethes Publishing House.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself? -In general and in you're writing career

Hopefully, as a successful erotic romance writer. I don't plan on going into mainstream romance right now. I want to one day make enough from my writing to quit my day job.

Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven't yet?

Paranormal. I am working on one, but it is going slowly. I want to be true to the genre, but I don't have a lot of experience with it.

What type of book have you always wanted to write?

I have always wanted to write romance. I would rather read a good romance than see a movie.

What would you like to tell your readers?

I really hope you like my books. I love to hear from readers and comments really help.

What is the best and worst advice you have ever received?

I can't really say what is the worst advice I have received, really bad advice hasn't really happened yet. The best advice I have gotten was to go with my gut. If I don't feel right about it, don't do it.

Do you belong to a critique group? If so, how does this help or hinder you?

I don't, but I would be really interested in joining one. I am just starting out, so I am prone to missteps. It would be nice to have sage advice, and I have received some.

What would be the best way for readers contact you? Do you have a website? Email address? MySpace site? Blog? Message Board? Group?

How can readers find out more about you and your books?

My website has teasers of some of the things upcoming. I post on my blog pretty regularly. I am also on MySpace quite a bit. If you can't find answers to your questions there, email me!

Thank you for this opportunity!
