Current Release: Sara's Smile

Describe your current release in two sentences?

As an architect who specializes in restorations, Sara Wiley is a genius at returning neglected structures to their former glory. But when it comes to her own life, she has no idea how to reclaim the ruins, which are all that remain of her first true love.Is it a bittersweet coincidence or might there be a chance, after all, for Sara to revisit the mistakes of her past and build the future she has wanted for so long? (Sorry, I tried, but that was 3!)

Please describe your writing environment.

I don't have a set writing environment. I enjoy writing while traveling, whether on business or pleasure. In fact, most of MAROONED IN MIAMI was written poolside during some free time on a business trip. While home, I like to write outdoors. I'm usually on my deck or sitting at a sidewalk table of my favorite local coffee shop.

What are you working on?

I'm working on a few things at the moment. I just finished the sequel to MAROONED IN MIAMI, entitled LUSTED IN LAS VEGAS. It will be available this summer. My current WIP is a follow-up to a short story called THE SATIN ROSE EXPERIENCE that will be published in an anthology in June. I'm also working on Michael's story from SARA'S SMILE. It has a holiday theme so I hope to release it during the 4th quarter of this year.

What do you feel blessed with?

I'm blessed with a fantastic family and a supportive husband. I love what I do and where I am in life. I'm also very thankful for my friends, both new and old.

What was your childhood ambition?

LOL! I had many! When I was really young I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. Then I wanted to be a singer until my chorus teacher broke the news to me that I really can't sing (I'm a car singer now). Throughout HS, I wanted to be an architect (Sara's profession in SARA'S SMILE).

What career fields have you worked in?

I studied Accounting in college and received an MBA in Management. I've spent the majority of my career in the accounting and finance fields of corporate America. Currently I work in Human Resources.

Where do you want to travel?

I would love to travel through Europe and visit the Amalfi Coast of Italy. That's on my bucket list.

What are your plans for the summer? Any books you are looking forward to?

My summer is spent at my son's lacrosse tournaments so I don't have any vacation plans. I do have many books that I've been dying to read. E.L. James' Fifty Shades Darker is on my list as well as books written by some of my friends and colleagues.

What is the one thing you do not want to live without?

My iPad! I received it as a gift from my husband last year and it hasn't left my side since. I'm a bit addicted.

What has been the best way for you to engage readers?

I love hearing from my readers! I engage with many people on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Goodreads. I also love to receive reader comments on my blog, email and on my Amazon author page.

If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?

I would love to live in the world of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. The series begins in the mid 1700's Scotland and continues to the early American colonies. I also adore the H/h of this series, Jamie and Claire.

Happy Reading!
