Current Release: Broken Prophecy
Describe your current release in two sentences?
Only the forbidden love of Killian, King of the Fey, and Marcella Rowan, a human, can unite the worlds of magick and mundane. Only the magick they make together can force their peoples to put aside bigotry, jealousy and fear and destroy the evil tearing the earth apart.
Please describe your writing environment.
My writing environment consists of my computer, my cats, coffee, and lots of sticky notes. Gotta write down ideas as they come to me.
What are you working on?
Currently I'm working on the second in the Heirs of Aeden series. This will be Brenna and Nicholai's story.
What do you feel blessed with?
I am blessed with tenacity, good family, great friends and the best Muses ever!
What was your childhood ambition?
As a child I wanted to be the first woman astronaut. As I grew a little older I wanted something in the medical field where I could help people and so went into Radiation Therapy. But I always wrote short stories and poems which I subjected my little brother to hearing.
What is your favorite TV show?
I love NCIS. Mark Harmon and his crew play off of each other so well and I love their characters. And, of course, Star Trek reruns.
What career fields have you worked in?
I've worked fast food, retail, thrown newspapers, taken X-rays, and I've been working Radiation Therapy for the last 28 years.
What are your plans for the next year? Any books you are looking forward to?
My plans for this next year are to throw myself into writing while I heal from my divorce. And books: anything by Christine Feehan. I love reading about the Dark Carpathians.
How was your road to publication?
I can't say it was as difficult as some, but I wouldn't call it easy either. I joined RWA in 2008, received the requisite and numerous rejections, was overcome with nausea after verbal pitches, and continued to learn the Craft. This is the first full length novel I've written, but it's been tweaked so much it's indistinguishable from that first draft.
If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?
Christine Feehan's Carpathian world. Who wouldn't want to live in a world where you're swept away by a tall, strong, handsome man dedicated to making you feel like the most beautiful woman on earth.
Thank you, Night Owl Reviews, for taking the time to interview me. Thanks to everyone who bought my first novel. I hope you enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next.
