Current Release: Her Game, His Rules
Describe your current release in two sentences?
Jona is forced to meet her goddamn mother after spending half her life in an orphanage. But her real problem is…how the hell can she keep the angel she loves earthbound?
What have you had to give up to pursue your writing career?
Give up? Time with my family. Everything else isn't so important, but my husband and son keep complaining that they see too little of me every day. I'm working hard to find the balance between reality and writing world, though, lol.
What are you working on?
Currently I'm working on a series about the three archangels. A little darker than what I wrote before, it's deeply seductive and again very romantic. :-) Gabriel's book is the first in the series, and he's fighting to win back the angel he had been with for almost thousand years. Three decades ago, she just disappeared without one word. His world is being knocked off its axis when he finally faces her on earth, finding out that she's now human.
What is your ultimate writing goal?
To finish one book each year. Is that possible?
Do you have a comfort food? What is it?
OMG, are you really asking me about chocolate? I always have a bar within reach when I write...or do anything else for that matter.
Where is your favorite place to write?
A couple years ago, my son got a new room. We live in quite a big house, and he has 3 rooms for his personal use. The last one was meant to become his study. There's a fish tank in it, some lovely bookshelves looking like fisher boats, and a mahogany desk. One day I borrowed it for a few hours just to have a place where no one would bother me at writing. Well, I never moved out of this room again. :-)
What are your plans for the next year? Any books you are looking forward to?
My plan is to finish Gabriel's book and at least start with Raphael's. But right now I'm not so sure if that's going to happen.
How was your road to publication?
One word...looong. I never studied anything related to writing, and English isn't even my first language. So it took me a few hard years to get into the business, learn everything I needed to become a good writer, and flash out a book that was worth reading. The first draft of HER GAME, HÌS RULES was a lousy amateur project. No one liked it, and soon I found out why. I faced a choice. Revise the hell out of it, or start again from scratch. I decided for the latter and it took me 10 month to write this new story. The best choice I could have made. The book turned out to be an attention catcher, and soon I was offered a contract from three different publishers.
If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?
I would travel 500 years into the future. I was born with a natural curiosity, and getting a glimpse at what's there to come would be amazing. Just imagine humans will be able to travel to the stars in those fantastic starships, meeting new species like Vulcans or the Clingones. ;-)
If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?
Alice in Wonderland. It never gets boring there.
Closing, I'd like to thank all my fans and readers for supporting me on this amazing adventure. Your e-mails are always a delight and welcome, and I try hard to reply to them all.
I'll also keep you updated about my next releases on my homepage. PLAY WITH ME, a teenage novella all about first love and soccer, will come out in spring 2013.
Until then...keep your noses in the books, guys!
