Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?

I'm a Pisces, I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners and.oh, you didn't mean like that. Got it. Right then. I write paranormal romance and erotic fiction. I've been in the business now for a little over three years and have over fourteen books in print.

If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?

I would be Green, from Immortal Ops III. I know he's a man and I'm not but I'd like to stand in front of the mirror nekkie while I have brilliant thoughts. Ah, to be sexy, buff and a scientist who can shift into a panther. That would be the life.

What's your favorite genre to read?

Contemporary or chick lit and then fantasy. Odd. I know. I think I like the escapism contemporary provides.

Who or what influences you when you write?

My mood first and foremost. If I'm in a cranky one.look out. Often music and things happening in my life. Writing is therapeutic for me. When things hit the fan here, I work it out on paper in some form or another. When all is well, that comes through too.

What do you do on a typical writing day?

Fire up my computer at about six in the morning. Make coffee, check email, fix the lil' ones breakfast and see them off on the bus. Come back, respond to email/posts/etc. Catch up on any edits I have. I then normally have to rush around town to pick everyone up and do errands. Do dinner and family time. Around eight at night, I tuck everyone in and settle down in my office and write until around three in the morning. I then crash for a few hours. Wake up and repeat the day.

When you have writer's block how do you break free?

I do anything but focus on the blank computer screen. It only serves to make my head feel as if it will implode. I throw myself into other things, painting, drawing, spring cleaning, whatever so long as it keeps me away from the computer. I then slowly begin edging back into it all. I start with something non-paranormal. I work on it until I feel like my groove is back.

Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

Date with Destiny: Book II in the Pleasure Cruise Series By Michelle M. Pillow, Mandy M. Roth

Academically-minded, uptight Anna only agreed to go on Date with Destiny, a campy game show, because she wanted to win an SUV. She never dreamed that accidentally selecting the wrong prize would land her on a cruise ship full of supernaturals. At least she's bringing someone along for the ride-her best friend Winter, a kooky free spirit with a penchant for mischief.

Andre and Christian, were-panthers and twin brothers, are polar opposites as far as personalities go. One views life as a party, the other is entirely too serious. But once they meet their intended mates, this night-and-day duo can finally agree on one thing-Anna and Winter will be theirs and theirs alone before they get back to shore.

The Powers That Be have ensured none of them will get off the ship until the two couples are mated. But as the brothers quickly realize, these human females mean to challenge them every erotically-charged step of the way.

EXCERPT:

"Wow."

Anna blinked, confused by the sound of the low male voice as she turned toward her room. The door was open and in the frame towered a large man with more notable sex appeal than a Hollywood superstar. For a moment, she was too flabbergasted to speak. His hair spilled over his shoulders in soft, drying waves. He wore an old T-shirt with a faded school emblem on the front. His arm lifted to rest against the open door and she watched the hem of his shirt lift up to reveal his tight stomach. His faded jeans hung low on his hips but she didn't see any boxers peeking out the top. In fact, by the way his hipbones and the narrow trail of hair beneath his navel showed, it was quite possible he wore no underwear at all. Bare feet stood squarely on the floor and she couldn't help but think the man even had sexy feet.

A wave of desire hit her in the stomach, spreading like some sex virus over her hardening nipples and settling between her suddenly hot thighs. It took all her strength not to wiggle against her wet panties. Her gaze lifted from his sexy feet to land on his cock. It pressed unmistakably large and erect against his low-slung jeans. Shaken back to reality, Anna cleared her throat. When she looked up, dark eyes pierced into hers, hot as molten lava. She shivered. Never had a man been so bold with just a look. He reeked of confidence and prowess. Biting her lips, she said weakly, "My bags."

A brow on his handsome face rose in question.

"Bring them in," she ordered, pushing past him into the room. Obviously tall, pale and creepy bellhop knew the man was in the room because he had knocked on the door. Her mind raced and she momentarily panicked. Mr. Sexy had to be the ship greeter, or a cabin boy, or a maid or whatever they called them if he was in her room. Though the idea of a ship of this caliber allowing their employees to traipse around in street clothes did surprise her. Unless.

Anna stiffened. The cabin suite was large, with dark blue walls and a round bed in the middle of the floor on a platform. She stared at it critically, wondering at the odd placement. Was this man some sort of sex toy? Winter had hinted profusely about her getting laid. Did he come with the room?

Anna gave a small laugh at herself and her wishful thinking. Who was she kidding? Date with Destiny would not pay for a sex cruise, no matter how hard Winter begged the network executives.

* * * * *

"Wonderful, now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to wash the stench off and then hit the main deck. I came on this trip with Anna to get some amazing sex for a week, not to chat the day away in my cabin, even if it is with a gorgeous man. Unless-" Winter stopped just short of propositioning the hunk. "Wait, did the network executives get my message and turn this into a sex cruise?"

He shook his head slightly.

"Pity." Winter waited to see if he'd leave. When he didn't, she shrugged and yanked her shirt over her head. Tossing it behind her haphazardly, she mumbled to herself, "Now where did I pack that T-shirt I tie-dyed for the trip?"

"Tell me, do you always take your clothes off in front of men you just meet?" There was something in his voice that sounded threatening. Under normal circumstances, she would have felt a bit uneasy to be locked in a room with a man as powerful as this one seemed to be. But, since she was on vacation, she was willing to accept his oddities-for the moment. Plus, she was armed with Supernatural Pepper Spray 3000.

"Of course." Winter smiled. "I love everything about me. Human bodies are works of art, so natural, so pure and it's a shame to keep them covered all the time." She twisted slightly and used the bed to steady herself as she removed her long skirt. She reached up to untie her bikini but stopped when she felt two warm hands pushing her hair out of the way.

"I would appreciate it if you did not undress in front of other men on the boat." He worked the tie to her bikini loose and let his hands slide over her shoulders.

Winter's legs nearly gave out from the tingling feeling that spread throughout her body with just his touch. Never had a man made her cunt damp by barely touching her. Christian moved in closer to her, his tall frame dwarfing hers as he wrapped his arms around her.

"You fit against me perfectly. It is as they said it would be."

"As who said what would be? And how long have you been here? You do realize that contractions are perfectly acceptable in modern-day speech patterns? Not that I'm not digging the whole 'French hottie' thing you've got going but you sound a bit like Count Dracula."

He huffed. "I am not a vampire. I am a full-blooded-umm-full-blooded Frenchman and proud of it."

"All right then," Winter said as she bit back her laugh. Christian sure was testy, in a sexy "want to lick every inch of him" kind of way. Snuggling back against him, she felt his erection through the towel and had to grab hold of his arm to steady herself. If what was pressed against her butt was indeed his cock, then she might have finally met her match.

Please tell us what you have planned next?

Daughter of Darkness III: Bella Mia (NCP), Immortal Ops 4 (NCP), Demonic Desires (EC), Pleasure Cruise II: Date with Destiny (co-written with Michelle Pillow EC), View to a Kill (Samhain)

In 5 years, where do you see yourself? -In general and in you're writing career

If I put world domination here would that make me look bad? Just kidding. In five years I hope to still be doing what I love-writing books. I'm very content with where I am right now and hope it will only move forward.

What do you do for inspiration?

Listen to music. Get out of the house and go to crowded places to people watch. I'm not a big movie watcher or a big fan of TV but every now and then I'll sit down and enjoy something. I read. Love to read anything I can get my hands on.

What kind of research do you do for your books? Do you enjoy the research process?

I do an insane amount of research for books. Non-fiction books fill shelves that line my office walls. I have so many I had to file according to topic and put stickers on the shelves to easily spot the sections. I'm a big fan of medical and science journals as well. I love reading what scientists and doctors are doing now and expanding on it for futuristics or paranormal world building. As a last resort I'll use internet but I don't always trust the information found there. And, YES, I love researching. I think it's why I started writing. I like to learn new things. There are times I get lost in the research and realize I'm not budging on the actual writing.

When did you first decide to submit your work? Please, tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.

I wrote my first book a little over three years ago. A friend of mine encouraged me to send it in. I debated before finally taking the leap. I've not looked back since. I've enjoyed every second of every experience to date.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best: Write every day.

The Worst: Avoid small press. (It's been wonderful and I'm glad I ignored all who told me to avoid it.) Also, add a lamp to your sex scene. I wish I could go into more detail on that one but I can't. It's the truth though. I had someone tell me to add a lamp to a sex scene. LOL

Do you belong to a critique group? If so, how does this help or hinder you?

No, I don't. I did briefly but it just wasn't for me. I have a good group of brutally honest test readers who have no problem telling me when something is crap. I love that about them. I also understand that in the end, it's impossible to please everyone.

What was your first published work and when was it published?

Daughter of Darkness , published, April 2004

Do you outline your books or just start writing?

Both. At times I'll just write-letting it flow freely. Other times, especially with the large, epic scale series, I outline to avoid plot holes and to keep everything moving smoothly.

What would you like to tell your readers?

That they are the BEST group of people anyone could ever ask to have supporting their career. They really are.

Who is your perfect hero? And why?

Damaged yet strong ones. I love a man who has had a rough go of it. I love a slightly broken man who need a heroine to put him back together again. And I LOVE a man who thinks he's beyond the pull of love. You know the saying "the bigger they are, the harder they fall".

Do deadlines help or hinder your muse?

My muse needs them to avoid wandering off into la-la land but they can also do damage if I'm not careful. I'm cautious as to how much I take on because I've learned what I can and cannot handle. Pressure is my best friend and worst enemy.

Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven't yet?

Historical paranormal. I'm not sure why I haven't ventured into it yet. It's something I'd love to do.
