Current Release: Druid, Mine
Describe your current release in two sentences?
Anya’s wish for a normal date—away from the old man she is caretaker for—comes true in unexpected ways when she finds herself whisked to an ancient Irish stone circle on solstice eve.
Carrick’s decision to follow the path to become an Ovate druid has not come lightly, and he plans to spend the solstice eve in meditation unless fairies or evil spirits disrupt the circle.
Please describe your writing environment.
I have a fairly large office/studio where I write, sew, draw, paint, and play guitar. I painted a New York cityscape in silhouette on the wall behind my desk, and I have Green Day lyrics all over my room for inspiration.
What are you working on?
I am working on multiple projects right now. I have an SFR that is about half done. I am also working on a western time-travel, and one other novel.
What do you feel blessed with?
So many things! There are few things that I can't turn into a blessing. At the top of the list would be my healthy children. I don't take that for granted.
What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to live as a hermit in a cave in Russia, writing and painting. Some days, that is exactly what I feel like I am doing.
What is your favorite TV show?
hmm. I love Project Runway, the Big Bang Theory, and most anything on Discovery Channel.
What career fields have you worked in?
Professional costumer, editor, jewelry designer, and college instructor. Oh, and I painted logos on big rigs one summer, too.
What are your plans for the summer? Any books you are looking forward to?
I have a lot of travel planned--both for vacation and for writing work.
How was your road to publication?
Relatively easy, so far. That is, if you don't count all the years I wasn't writing. Once I started working hard, I got published--I think that most people who set their minds to it, can write and publish.
If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?
I'd love to visit all of the Classical sites. Troy, Greece, Rome...
If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?
oh, easy peasy. Lord of the Rings. Definitely.
Thanks for having me--and thanks to all the readers who have supported me. Pharaoh, Mine will be out in October--I hope you will give it a chance.
