Current Release: The Burning Seal
Describe your current release in two sentences?
Tormented by a demonic force and visions of ritual murders, Danni battles a demon’s thirst and quest for supremacy. Will she convince her sexy, stubborn homicide partner that demons do exist before she's forced to forfeit her soul?
Please describe your writing environment.
I write at Starbucks where the noise and activity actually help me focus! I don't have to answer the questions or fulfill the needs of anyone there.
What are you working on?
The second book in the Elements Series. I love that I'm able to continue writing about Danni and Chase from The Burning Seal. For those who haven't read the book, I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that you will meet the hero and heroine of book 2 in The Burning Seal.
What do you feel blessed with?
I'm blessed with so much...my daughters, family, friends, the time I have to write and the network of authors, editors and readers I've met over the years.
What was your childhood ambition?
The better question would be, "what didn't I want to be when I was kid?" I went from investigative reporter, oceanographer (unitl I saw Jaws) and artist. I went to college and majored in Criminal Justice which included some of my favorite classes until I took the one on serial killers, got spooked and switched to Fine Arts.
What is your favorite TV show?
I have many. Bones, Psych, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Rizzoli and Isles and the Closer.
What are your plans for the summer? Any books you are looking forward to?
I plan to get book 2 in the series done and submitted to my publisher, take my girls to the pool, go to movies and I have several books to read!
How was your road to publication?
Long and bumpy at times but I had fellow authors who were also trying to get published so we spent a lot of time boosting one another's moral.
If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?
That's a good question...I love touring castles and historic places so I guess my best answer would be traveling to Ireland, Scotland and France to glimpse castle life and then to Ancient Egypt for a completely different experience. As long as I get to return to my home and present time...life in ancient time to the middle ages was far too harsh for me...but I think I could handle a visit without getting myself in too much trouble!
If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?
I would pick a book that puts me in New Orleans right in the middle of spooky paranormal happenings.
Thanks to those who stopped by to read my interview I appreciate your time and interest. If you like paranormal romantic suspense please check out my book, The Burning Seal!
