The Call From Within | 1st of Dearhart Clan Series | Publisher: EAN LLC | Genre: Fiction/Fantasy/Paranormal/ Romance | Release Date: July 22, 2011
Dearhart Clan is a series of fast paced books that dabble in the world of paranormal and remain in the erotic pulse of what can only be classified as a primal fantasy. If it's a typical romance you're looking for you won't find it in this series.
Eri Nelson writes in a darker world where heat and need are the forefront for a slipping existence. There is not time for all the tenderness love deserves but if you're imprinted to another you are far beyond those mortal requirements.
Our author is driven by swift action packed intrigues that often leave you wanting more. As she writes each new book into the series the number of pages might increase but the action never lets you feel the increasing distance to the final page.
The Call From Within is Eri Nelson's first look into this series. It is here that we meet Owen our Pack's clan leader. He has been driven by what is expected of an alpha. Facts that were told through the decades all but look like fiction to him now. So he never dared to believe in fate and only let duty push him forth. Although now his resolves make no sense and it took little to no time at all in showing him through the lust he feels for another.
Kristen Still bares the imprinted mark to our handsome alpha. However he wasn't the first to notice what she was and it's that bedding of prior passions that control her new weakness. Yes, Owen is pushed by jealousy to possess what his four footed insight tells him is his.
A former distraction wanted more than heated moments with Kristen. In her he saw a stronger life force for his young and if Brinston Drake must he would take what he needs from her. He just did not foresee another finding her as well.
While the rest of Eri Nelson's cast of characters find their selves caught up in furthering personal existences. Another by the name of Wash seeks to use their distractions as his gain. A rogue sent to track and update, Wash is tested by his hatred and desire for revenge. He'll have it but not as quickly as he would like. But soon enough Owen will slip farther into his madness over a bitch in heat. Then Wash perhaps can use the heated vixen to distract both her and the alpha into their future demise.
Please tell us your latest news!
My latest news outside of my first book being published would be that there are three more books in this series to follow. However I will wait and let readers decided if they would like to know more about the twist and turns this series is about to take.
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Wow, that would be a toss up there between many authors with various different styles and concepts. The benefit of social media is the avenues in which you can meet many an author.
I have been very blessed to come across main stream, Indie and unknown authors, like myself. It has made me look on at the art of writing with new eyes.
So in answer to that question I think you would have to look on at my twitter/facebook streams and pick free handedly through the mix of wonderful authors.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I guess it's the familiar story. Writing from the time I could actually spell. Periodically my mother with dig out an old scrap of work from the dawn of crayon and it will all come back to me again.
Do you have any advice for other writers?
Never give up on something you enjoy. It's priceless and worth every moment you can give to it.
Do you have a favorite object that is pertinent to your writing?
It varies within a few things. Don't laugh... But writing is impossible less I am addicted to coffee, lushing after a glass of wine while popping gummie bears as freely as they may come. (lol)
What main genre do you write in?
Paranormal / Urban Fantasy
Please describe your writing environment.
Pure havoc is the terminology you would have to use. I live in a house where animals rule and we humans merely serve (lol). At least that's what the constant attempts of paws across my keyboard seem to keep typing out (lol).
What's been the most challenging part of writing for you?
I would have to say the fear of presenting it. Opening yourself up to criticism is hard and scary as heck (using the most polite word here...lol).
Truly I just want others to enjoy the read. If I am able to reach an audience that can do that then I will consider myself successful.
Who has been your best supporter? How have they been there for you?
Endless, to my husband, our daughter, parents, siblings, in-laws, friends, and truly wonderful tweets.
When you embrace others it's surprising how many will embrace you back. I am one of the luckiest people to have had this right now and I thank each and every one of them.
Do you have any other author names? If so, what are they and what's different about what you write under each name.
I write everything under Eri Nelson. My next to come duo of books "Isabella Tulley and Aiden Black Series" will hopefully show that.
Do you like to mix genres?
Yes, I don't like to think of myself as one genre. I love action mixed with heated conquest lingering in a dark world of intrigue.
What book are you reading now? What are your thoughts on it?
I am so far behind in books right now. It's hard for me to work on a title and read while in the midst of another world. When I direct my interest into a book, I like for it to have my full attention. Often I lock myself away downstairs and read not just one but all in a series. Loosing hours not to mention days by giving myself over to the universe each and every author creates.
So at this point it's all about the work currently. My mind is often going on to the point of keeping me up at odd hours, just trying to get it all down on paper. However, when my days starts to slow rest assure my list of wanna read titles will come out and I will be able to curl up with a good book.
Tell us all about "The Call" or "The Email"!
For me there was no defining call from a publishing company. The company was me and the cookie jar with stashed coins.
It's been a scrimp and scrounge to fund this venture. Granted I do it with love of the experience but it was not easy at all.
If there has been an issue it has arisen for me (lol). This possibly is because I have or had no idea of what I am doing most of the time.
One of the best things to come out of this was the email from a wonderful artist, Richard Roberts, http://www.theotherstream.com. He did my cover and he is amazing. But hey, don't take my word for it. Go check out his work and see for yourself. I will honestly say you won't regret doing so.
What inspires your writing?
The unknown, it's wonderful. To create whatever just flows from your mind. Trust me, if I were to choose non-fiction I would have nothing to flow with.
There is just something to making it up as you go. Course I start with my character outlines as well as an outline to the book I am working on. Nevertheless, when I am in the page I just let my mind go unleashed.
Do you have any cool promo tricks you can share with other writers?
Unless you count begging and pleading, not really. (lol) This is all new to me and stumbling along the way has become the norm.
Do you have any animals? Do they influence your writing?
Way to many. A dog, few cats, and some fat lazy chickens. My theory is that this is where the strays choose to come. If it's been free and ready to roam, then it will have a map to our home (lol).
As to them influencing me, absolutely! They add humor to my style where there was none.
If you had to choose one person to have dinner with, who would it be? And why?
That would have to be Jeff Nelson, my husband. Nineteen years together have given me the magical wonderment of endless conversation.
He knows me in and out. It's great to not have to explain my every thought. Heavens, half the time he has to explain my own to me (lol).
Who's your agent? Please tell us about them.
I am a free agent. Sadly no one represents me in that light. It would be great to have that reach out but at this point the goal has not been met.
"Thank you for allowing me this time to your readers. Its been a joyful experience...we should most definitely do lunch!"
