Current Release: Better off Immortal: Book II (The Vamp Saga)

Describe your current release in two sentences?

This novel continues the fascinating story of Manon Mourey-Damgaard, a vampire who is also a Day Walker. She must make a choice whether to stay with her husband or follow her heart while weaving through a plot of deception, conspiracies and lies.

Please describe your writing environment.

My writing environment is an office space on the first floor of my home. It is quiet and the room receives plenty of light. I like its serene and calm atmosphere. It is my sanctuary where I can express myself fully.

What are you working on?

I am working on the fourth novel in The Vamp Saga titled Immortal Dawn: Book IV. Queen of the Immortals: Book III is completed and with my editor at the moment and will be released in September of 2012.

What do you feel blessed with?

I feel blessed to have this gift of weaving stories people enjoy. I have a loving family and two children and they are a blessing as well.

What was your childhood ambition?

My childhood ambition has always been to be a professional writer. Although I have been side-tracked for many years and became involved in other professions, my life has always brought me back to what I was meant to do with my life and that is to entertain people with my novels and novellas.

What is your favorite TV show?

I have many but definitely shows I cannot live without are True Blood, Sons of Anarchy and Spooks (known as MI:5 here in the States).

What career fields have you worked in?

I have been the Jill of all trades. For many years I worked as an administrative assistant for tech companies in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. I then made the switch to the mortgage industry and worked as Mortgage Loan Coordinator in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

What are your plans for the summer? Any books you are looking forward to?

My plans for the summer include writing both my novel in The Vamp Saga and continuing a successful novella series I have under the pen name of Elle Chardou. I am an avid reader as well as writer so the novels I look forward to most this summer are Chasing Magic by Stacia Kane and The Ripple Effect by J.A. Saare.

How was your road to publication?

My road to publication has been rocky but it has made me a stronger person. I initially uploaded to Kindle Direct Publishing over fourteen months ago with a contemporary romance serial I had worked on a decade previously. Then I learned the ropes, acquired a great editor and cover designers. I format my own work and also work as a professional formatter as well. All my books are available in electronic form and print through numerous platforms including Amazon, iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and All Romance. I feel very satisfied with how my writing journey has turned out.

If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?

I would definitely love to travel to Paris, France circa the 1930s when it was a very artistic place and many American ex-pat artists decided to venture there for creative inspiration.

If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?

That is definitely a hard one but probably the world I have created in The Vamp Saga. I think it is fascinating because it is just several years into the future but the world is very different how we know it now. It is a world of vampires, werewolves, and Faeries -- all supernatural creatures I find utterly fascinating.

Thanks again for reading my interview. If you enjoy my novels in The Vamp Saga, I also have a roster as to upcoming projects and other series you would probably enjoy just as much. The world I have created in The Vamp Saga has been so influential, it has launched two other series which are completely separate and do not have to be read after The Vamp Saga. Both my series, The Supernaturals, and The Hart Family Saga, take place in this alternate reality as I find it utterly impossible to leave.
