Hi Delle. It's awesome to get to see you after so long. Thanks for meeting me here at the Emerald City Writers Conference.
What is your latest Montlake Romance?
My latest is Faerie. It's a medieval paranormal fantasy romance set in the 11th century. It's been marketed to both the fantasy and romance readers and is doing very well.
What's next for you?
I have a regency book. Authors often times have what they call their "Secret Book" that they write for themselves but doesnt' get published because of different factors. This is my Secret Book and it's now going to be published.
Do you enjoy researching for your book?
I have a deep love for research.
Along with writing you are also a cover artist. How did you get started on doing that?
Back in the early 2000's I had a cover designer who wasn't able to complete my cover when some dates changed. I ended up doing my own cover and teaching myself graphic design. Over the years I've learned different how to use techniques.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Straight Historical Fiction. There are lots of eras to read. I'm not reading much romance, but I'm starting to be back to the romance.
What inspired your submitting to Amazon's Montlake line?
I actually didn't submit. I was self-published on the Amazon platform and one of the editors read my book. For a while I could tell that Amazon was watching me as my books were being featured. Then one day the editor came to me. So I went a very different route than most authors.
