Current Release: The Keeper of the Key

Describe your current release in two sentences?

Kate desires answers and Xander desires Kate. Thrown together in a cyclon of magic and secrets, they fight their ill-fated bond even though they only want to embrace it.

What have you had to give up to pursue your writing career?

I've given up my free time. With three kids and writing there isn't very much white space in my life. But it's worth every minute.

What are you working on?

I am currently working on three stories all of which a the second books to my first releases.

What is your ultimate writing goal?

One day I would love to hit the NYT Best Sellers list and possible win a RITA.

Do you have a comfort food? What is it?

Chocolate.

Where is your favorite place to write?

My favorite place to write is in my over-stuffed arm chair in the middle of my living room.

What career fields have you worked in?

I've waitressed and I was a Barista for a small coffee shop in my home town after I graduated from high school. My first carrer type job was working for a bank as a teller and I moved up the ladder, quickly.

What are your plans for the next year? Any books you are looking forward to?

I am attending two conferences in August. Authors After Dark as well as the RNConference put on by Jimmy Thomas. I have to say I love Shelly Laurneston, Kresley Cole, JR Ward, and Gena Showalter. So any of their releases are in my must be read pile.

How was your road to publication?

I have to say I was truely blessed. I started writing in April of 2012. My first completed manuscript was rejected across the board but I didn't give up. I found a submission call for Pink Petal Books and answered it. They offered me my first contract in June.

If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?

Wow this took me a minute. I would have to say I would like to go back to the time when America was new and people made their journeys to the west.

If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?

I would love to live in Kresley Cole's Immortal's After Dark Series. Purely for research purposes.

Thank you to all the readers for taking a chance on the unknown.
