Current Release: The Reluctant Bride
Describe your current release in two sentences?
Can Honour and Action Atone for Past Sins?
For Emily Micklen, marriage to taciturn war hero Major Angus McCartney will salvage family honour.
But while Angus may have won his heart’s desire, the ghost of his dead mistress is only one of the secrets that may divide Emily and Angus forever.
What are you working on?
The Maid of Milan' which is another Regency about a woman who has finally fallen in love with her gorgeous, patient husband of 5 years. Now her former passionate (poet) lover- from whose arms she was torn by her family - has returned from abroad, a celebrity due to the success of his book 'The Maid of Milan'. High society is as desperate to discover the identity of 'his muse' as my heroine is to protect her newfound love and her husband's political career. (This is rather tricky, however, since it turns out her secret lover was her husband's childhood friend.)
Is there an author or book that has greatly influenced your writing?
Bernard Cornwall's multi-layered historicals with their richly drawn characters and surprise twists. Love them!
As a reader: Do you gravitate toward buying eBook or Print?
Ebooks in bed (so I don't disturb my husband) and print for the bath.
Who is your coolest character?
Angus has been taught to not desire what he can't have but his chivalric instincts are aroused when he's confronted by the bereaved - pregnant - fiance of his philandering colleague. Emily is a woman he's loved from afar but protecting her honour, her unborn child and sparing her the pain of learning how deeply she's been duped becomes increasingly difficult. However, Angus is a man of honour and integrity, determined to prove his heroic qualities in his own quiet way, and show Emily how she's misjudged him.
Thank you so much for dropping by.
