Please tell us your latest news!

First I want to thank everyone at Night Owl Romance for giving me the opportunity to share some information about myself and my Debut book, What My Heart Desires.

It is a short romance book that lets the reader know that when we live our lives solely through negative emotions, we end up with lives filled with lies, betrayal, deceit, deception and violence.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Everyone that has read the book so far continue to ask me for a sequel. If I had to do it all over again, I would have left myself an opening so I could do a sequel or series of books going into even more details about the characters.

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

That is a tough question because there are so many great authors out there with different writing styles that I like. If I had to choose one I would say Julian Hampton is at the top of the list. Julian is very versatile in his books and can do it all from mysteries to children books. I am also inspired by Tyler Perry, Adrienne Turner and so many others.

Do you see writing as a career?

Absolutely!!! I definitely see writing as a career. I wish I had pursued it as a career earlier. Once I get started writing it is very hard to stop. I can write for hours at a time.

I feel like I am in another world, a world of make believe when I write. It is so relaxing especially when you are use to being in a corporate environment.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

I started out writing at an early age because I love to write.

I never considered it as a career at the time.

As far back as I could remember, I was always giving family members and friend's homemade cards and candles. This was my way of sharing something special with them, something you could not just pick up and buy in the store. I guess it worked out alright because I never saw anything I made in the garbage or given back to me by mistake.

Growing up in a neighborhood of all boys, most of them wanted to be singers. Some of them paid me $25.00 to $50.00 to write lyrics they could put to music. Not a bad idea so I thought. I did not know anything about copywriting at the time.

I also remember coming in 1st place for the best Radio and TV Commercial when I was in High School.

That is how it all began for me.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Keep a pen, pad of paper, journal or tape recorder with you at all time and write. Just do it. Write about your day or whatever is on your mind. Even if it is just 15 minutes a day do something.

How does your family feel about having a writer in the family? Do they read your books?

My family is very excited and supported, especially my husband. They read and help me promote my books.

Do you write full time? What did you do before you became a writer? Or Still do?

I was always doing some kind of writing be it poetry, a song or short story. It was not until recently on the advice of my husband that I started writing professionally. I currently am working in a sales environment and have my own business Ann's Business Solutions.

What is your writing process? Do you outline, fly by the seat of your pants or a combination of both?

I guess you would say that I am a fly by the seat of my pants because I just do it. Once I get started it is hard to stop.

Do you have a ritual when it comes to writing?

I love listening to love songs before I write. I then grab a nice cup of coffee or tea and curl up in my bed or in my office and write.

What main genre do you write in?
