Describe your current release, Blood Betrayal, in two sentences?

A self-absorbed vampire learns that to find lasting love you have to love someone other than yourself. And no matter how old you are or how powerful you are, getting shot down sucks.

What have you had to give up to pursue your writing career?

Wow, sleep. Nothing else in my life is able to be cut so sleep is the only thing that can be whittled away. And oh man do I love sleep.

What are you working on?

I'm working on the third book in The Primigenio Tales. Blood Betrayal is the first, Blood of New Beginnings is the follow up and I am hard at work on the third, Death Hunter. This is the hardest of all the books to write for some reason. It is like pulling teeth. Bleah and I hate anything to do with dentistry.

What is your ultimate writing goal?

I would love to write full time in a cozy little spot in my house with absolutely no distractions or disturbances. Although, I'd probably not get any writing done because I've learned to write WITH distractions!

Do you have a comfort food? What is it?

COOKIES! I keep a day care size container of animal crackers next to where I write. I love them. They make me feel better. Any and all cookies make me feel better though. Except oatmeal raisin cookies. I have issues with them.

Where is your favorite place to write?

I like to write in bed. It's comfy and quiet.

What career fields have you worked in?

I've been an RN for 16 years but have worked in different areas. The bulk of it was in labor and delivery but an injury forced me to leave the bedside and now I do an administrative job

What are your plans for the next year? Any books you are looking forward to?

Next year is actually quite exciting for me. I'm getting married on Halloween.

How was your road to publication?

It had its ups and downs. I had a drawer full of rejections and was told over and over how vampires were dead.(that always made me laugh) I never gave up though. It always made me dig deeper and work harder at getting published. I've made some terrific friends along the way on author boards so even though I've had a rocky road, it was definitely worth the bumps.

If you could time travel, where would you travel to and why?

I love Edwardian England. I adore the clothes but there is something about that time period that I'm drawn to. The world was on the verge of losing its innocence with World War 1 and yet society carried on with such beauty and optimism.

If you could live in a world created by an author, which book / world would you jump into?

OOHHH Anno Dracula by Kim Newman. It's a creepy, steampunky world that intertwines historical and fictional figures in an amazing vampire story.

The other one is Whittney My Love by Judith Mc Naught. I love regency times.

I want to thank the readers! Thanks for supporting me and reaching out. Y'all are awesome! Please be on the look out for my second book, Blood of New Beginnings due out in the summer of 2013.
