Current Release: Definitely, Maybe in Love

Describe your current release by starting out with "In a world".

In a world where Spring Honeycutt—Stanford junior—is stuck while trying to get her Environmental Science paper published, the only person willing to help get her UN-stuck is the one guy she can’t stand: Henry Knightly, the super-rich, super-hot prelaw student who just loves driving around town in his gas-guzzling sports car and pushing Spring’s buttons. Some cool word, right? DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE is a modern take on Pride & Prejudice that proves true love is worth risking a little pride.

What are you working on?

In keeping with my Jane Austen retells, right now I'm working on modern spin of her novel "Persuasion." It's been really fun to write about the theme of second chances. I love the idea of loving someone when you're young, really screwing up, then getting a change to fix things when you're older and wiser and he's hotter than ever. :)

Getting a book to market often takes a village. Who has helped you on the way?

When I write the acknowledgement page at the end of a book, I always feel little like I'm giving an acceptance speech at the Oscars. (Come on, we've all done that!) First, I'd like to thank my parents... Seriously, though. I have so many amazing people who help and support my crazy writing career, everyone from friends who listen to me plotting aloud when we're out to dinner, to fabulous betas and editors who make my words shine, and lastly, the readers and bloggers who completely rock my world.

Do you have a favorite or interesting reader meet moment?

I do have a favorite moment, but it wasn't in person. I'd always envied when authors received fan art from readers. I didn't get my first until my 4th book, DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE. It meant the world to me and I was so excited that I posted it everywhere. It's such a cool thing when readers take the time to do that. It still makes me giddy!

What is your favorite way to procrastinate?

I admit it, I'm a TV junkie. I can't even tell my mom how many shows I have on my DVR. Right now I've got a little "Walking Dead" going, and "The Good Wife," "Castle" and of course, "Vampire Diaries." Oh, and I just caught up on "Downton Abbey" and "Breaking Bad"...you know, because those two shows go together so nicely.

Thanks so much for having me on your blog. I love bloggers and readers. Your support means the world to us writers. So thanks, guys! Don't forget to check out my dreamy new adult novel, DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE, available now. And be on the lookout for it's follow-up later his year. Byeeee!
