Hi S. Nano. It's a pleasure to have you on to chat about your life and your novel "Mistress Of The Air". What is your book about?
Mistress Of The Air is a comic, Steampunk, erotic adventure featuring Edwardian dominatrix, Lady Sally Rudston-Chichester and her travels across the Empires of Europe in her airship, 'The Corseted Domme'. Be warned. There are wild escapades, kinky BDSM, dastardly devices, explosions and nice cups of tea.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
I came to creative writing quite late in my life. My first book was published in 2012 and have left work and collected my pension to do other things, my writing amongst them.
Is your home a place of order or chaos?
Pretty well-ordered. I have a small office space and I keep it fairly uncluttered.
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
I write erotica, often in historical or fantasy settings. My work usually has dominant female characters. There's often a seam of quirky humor running through them too.
What is our favorite drink?
What is your writing place like?
I write on my laptop in my own office space. Sometimes for variety or inspiration I'll sit in a coffee shop and write by hand.
What's next for you as an author?
My next book is already completed but got shoved behind Mistress Of The Air because I wanted to publish my NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2016 book first. It will be called 'La Contessa' and is set in 18th century Venice.
It's been great having you over.
Thanks for inviting me over.
