Hi Mia Jo. Glad to have you over to speak about books and your life. Please tell us all about your latest release, "Other Than".
Abducted to an 18th century island purgatory, a physician-turned-zombie's destiny is torn between two brothers: a vampire lord who promises a glamorous immortal passion or a human slave who offers an experimental cure and his heart.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
I come from a family of writers and English teachers, so I grew up believing everyone wrote and published books.
Is your home a place of order or chaos?
My home cycles from order to chaos to order regularly.
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
I’m a strong believer in second changes and in starting over, so many times my characters are on that journey. Most often, they succeed. We all have a broken place in our past and I write the story of its mending. That said, I have a big imagination and usually along the characters’ journey, a lot of fantastic, not quite real, stuff happens, which is why most of my work is also paranormal.
What is our favorite drink?
What is your writing place like?
My favorite place to write isn’t a place at all. It’s anywhere and everywhere in the notebook I carry with me.
What's next for you as an author?
I hope to write more stories.
Thanks for joining us. It's been great having you over.
Thanks Night Owl Reviews and readers for letting me share my writing and life with you.
