Hi Meredith. Thanks for stopping over for a Super Quick Author Interview. What is "My Lord Ghost" about?
It's about a Regency Miss who loves to meet men and doesn't really care that that's inappropriate for a proper young woman to do, and it's about a man who is suffering from PTSD. It's about growing up and acceptance. It's about learning to think of others before yourself. This is a sweet romance (with a touch of mystery added) with which you can just curl up and get lost in another world.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
When I discovered that I had a lot of stories to tell. After getting married, I joined my husband in rural Massachusetts where he was working at a small college. I couldn't get a job, so I started writing. I haven't been able to stop...(help...) the stories keep coming to me and I have to write them down.
Is your home a place of order or chaos?
A little of both. I love order and organizing things, but I'm also a bit of a slob leaving my things all over.
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
I write Regency romance first and foremost because I grew up reading Georgette Heyer and love, love, love the Regency. But I also love magic and explaining the unexplainable with it, so I also write fantasy. And then, naturally, I had to blend the two!
What is our favorite drink?
Tea. Any kind as long as it's hot in the cooler months and cold in the warmer ones.
What is your writing place like?
I usually work at my standing desk with piles of papers and notecards scattered around and a large map of my work in progress on the wall next to me, but sometimes, just to change things up, I'll work in the living room or go out to a cafe and sit with a cup of tea and a croissant to nibble at.
What's next for you as an author?
I'm currently working on book #4 of my Storm Series. It's loads of fun--lots of magic and people trying to come to terms with who they are and what destiny has laid out for them.
Thanks for stopping over.
I truly appreciate each and every reader who slips between the pages of my novels. I love meeting them, chatting with them and sharing my stories, so thank you for being there. And a huge thank you to NOR for allowing me to meet and interact with these readers.
